Wow. . . where do I begin? We have been given so many blessings lately! On November 23, my dad was in a high speed head on collision and almost died. He was air lifted to UMC in Lubbock where they took him into surgery to repair his broken leg. While in surgery, he stopped breathing and almost died on the table. Thank the Lord for the amazing surgeons who saved his life!! Then, while in surgical ICU, he had a heart attack with 100% blockage. WE basically almost lost him three times in a matter of hours. As a result, we had lots of family togetherness in Lubbock at Mom and Gary's house and the holidays seemed to take on a new meaning! We truly saw the amazing blessings God constantly gives, but we often overlook! Needless to say there was lots of traveling with fussy babies and we even got snowed in while in Plainview and only got to see Dad for a few hours because we couldn't get him out of the hospital.
We were given wonderful news on Christmas day!! Wes and Sara are pregnant and due in August!!! We are so happy for them and excited that all three Melcher kids will have babies within a year of each other. This is such a fun and exciting time and just this week we were hit with wonderful news again!!! Wes and Sara got engaged this week and we couldn't be happier for them!!! Sara is so amazing and seems to balance Wes perfectly. We wish them the best and I couldn't have picked a more amazing person to become my sister! I am so lucky to have the two most amazing sister-in-laws in the WORLD!!!!

Thanks for the update! Congrats to Wes & Sara! I hadn't heard they were engaged yet. That's exciting. We're looking forward to meeting her.
